Terminologies

🤖 Delegate

  • Any user that expresses interest in participating in the governance process of a DAO. Delegates can receive delegation from multiple addresses or can be the only address delegating to themselves.

🎓 Office Hours

  • Delegates organise an hour long meet which is mostly once in a week which allows any delegated user or new participant to the DAO an opportunity to ask questions, raise their concerns and enrich themselves with what all is happening in the DAO.

  • We desire in a democracy to have a member of parliament/house of representatives to talk with voters who elected them, but do not get a structured platform to communicate, but in DAOs Office Hours is the opportunity to connect with delegates & if not satisfied discover new delegates whose views align with those of yours.

🗒️ Sessions

These are 1-1 (one-to-one) sessions between a delegate and any user. Delegates create these sessions based on their availability and this can be booked by users to learn more about the DAO. You can book sessions to ask questions like:-

  • What are the right resources to learn more about councils of DAO?

  • What is the current availability of programs that can provide grants to our project?

  • How can I contribute to the DAO?

  • Why should I care about this DAO?

  • What is a token?

And literally anything that you are curious about.
